VSSC Central School

Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence

VSSC Central School, established on 28 June 1976 to serve the families of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, has grown from two staff quarters with 28 students into a vibrant Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE, nestled amidst the picturesque Veli Hills near the Arabian Sea at Kazhakuttom. This year, the school proudly celebrates its golden jubilee, marking fifty years of dedicated service to spacetown education. Evolving from a Primary School to Middle School (1979), High School (1980) and finally Senior Secondary (1987), it has consistently upheld academic excellence, with its very first Class X batch in 1982 achieving a 100% pass rate.

Today, the campus comprises five academic blocks and extensive facilities that reflect both the scientific ambience of India's space programme and a commitment to valuebased, quality education from Class I to XII. Supported by the patronage of VSSC, the dedication of its staff and the trust of parents, the school nurtures holistic development-preparing children not merely for examinations but for life-while its alumni, now excelling across the globe, stand as proud ambassadors of this golden legacy.
