Scheme and schedule of the exam / test


For class XII

  • First unit test-July
  • Half yearly examination-September
  • Second unit test-November /December
  • Model examination-December
  • Pre Board examination -January
  • Board examination-March

For class XI

  • First unit test-July
  • Half yearly examination -September
  • Second unit test-November /December
  • Third unit test-January
  • Annual examination - March

Class IX

  • First periodic test-July
  • Second periodic test-Septemeber
  • Third perodic test-January
  • Annual examination-March

Class X

  • First periodic test-July
  • Second periodic test-Septemeber
  • Third Periodic test-December
  • Model Exam-January (Last week)
  • Board examination-March

Average of best two tests out of 5 marks will be taken for final assessment.

Multiple assessment, Portfolio and subject enrichment activity carries 5 marks each.

Thus the internal assessment constitute 20 marks and a student has to secure 33% marks out of 20 marks earned in each subject.

Board examination for 80 marks-March

Following are the Co scholastic activities to be assessed on a five point scale once in a term

  • Work education
  • Art education
  • Health education
  • Discipline

Classes I to VIII:

There are two terms, Term 1 and Terms II

Term I (20 marks periodic assessment and 80 marks Half yearly exam)

    The periodic assessment consists of :

  • Periodic test-July (Calculated out of 5 marks)
  • Multiple assessment strategy ( 5 marks)
  • Portfolio (5 marks)
  • Subject enrichment Activity ( 5 marks)
  • Half yearly examination-September (80 marks covering the entire syllabus of term I)

Term II (20 marks periodic assessment and 80 marks Annual exam)

    The periodic assessment consists of :

  • Periodic test-December (Calculated out of 5 marks)
  • Multiple assessment strategy ( 5 marks)
  • Portfolio (5 marks)
  • Subject enrichment Activity ( 5 marks)
  • Annual examination-March (80 marks covering the entire syllabus of term I and significant topic of term II as given in the split up of the syllabus)

For classes I to VI 100 % of term II and 10% of Term I

For class VII 100 % of term II and 20% of Term I

For class VIII 100 % of term II and 30% of Term I
